When printouts are streaky on a laser printer, remove the toner cartridge. Gently shake the cartridge to redistribute the toner in the cartridge. Then lift the flap over the drum (a long, green, metallic cylinder) and wipe of the residue with a cotton swab doused in isopropyl alcohol.
