- Online 12-hour self-paced study.
- 2-hour in-store equipment checkout – and purchase, as needed, of personal items: mask, snorkel, boots, gloves, underwater compass, and a dive log.
- 10-hour weekend pool training, 2 to 3 sessions of 2 to 4 hours each.
- 4 ocean dives in Monterey over a weekend.
